Open Swing and Player Evaluations

The Coventry Little League Player Development Committee will be holding an open swing on Friday March 3rd. Players who are 9-12 and have not been playing regularly with AAU this winter are invited to attend to get some swings in with experienced coaches so they are prepared for their tryouts on Saturday March 11, 2023. For these players this is an optional opportunity and not required. No sign up is required to attend the open swing. Simply stop by at any point during the 90 minutes to get some time in the cages.
This is also a chance for any player who wishes to play up a level this spring to come and have the Player Development Committee determine if they should attend the March 11th tryouts. That means that 8 year olds who have previously played a year of AA and would like to try out for AAA this spring should attend to be evaluated. This also applies to 10 year olds who have played a season of AAA and would like to try out for majors. If your child is a 8 year old who wants to try out for AAA or a 10 year old who wants to try out for majors they must attend the evaluations on March 3rd.
There is no registration for these evaluations either. Please plan on attending for about 20-30 minutes at the time of your choosing between 4:30 and 6:00.
